The benefits of holding an Online Estate Auction vs. a Traditional In-Person Estate Sale are huge!

So much of a benefit to our clients we have changed our complete business model to 100% Online Auction after 7 years of holding solely In-Person Sales! After that amount of experience, we have learned a thing or two! Let’s explain:

First things first, what are the main differences between an ONLINE AUCTION VS. IN PERSON ESTATE SALE?

1) An Online Auction is where everything you have for sale is posted ONLINE for anyone in the UNITED STATES to see and to purchase VS. an In Person Estate Sale is where the public comes into your home and shops like a store. As you can see an Online Auction allows a potential of Millions of shoppers, where an In Personal Estate Sale is limited to things like: Who happens to be driving by that day, weather, other local events for example. (Very Limited!)

2) An Online Auction is showcased around the United States, allowing MUCH HIGHER (Generally 30%-50% HIGHER) prices VS. In Person Estate Sales. Online Auctions create a sense of urgency (Bid NOW or NEVER and SO MUCH COMPETITION TO WIN!) vs. In Person Estate Sales there is little urgency, and much negotiation lowering prices in order to liquidate everything.

During an In Person Estate Sale you need as many people to come into your home as possible, but what nobody talks about is how many people actually buy anything? It’s easy to have 300-600 people come through a home with an In Person Estate Sale… that’s a LOT of “foot traffic!” VS. during an Online Auction, the only people allowed into your home are the Auction Winners! This number is only a fraction the number! Winners sign in when they arrive, so we know exactly who is there, are personally escorted to their winnings.
